Ytsara’s herbs, roots, flowers
and fruits are either cultivated on our organic farm in Thailand,
or hand picked in the forest, taking care to preserve the environment.
When wild harvesting is not possible, chemical free fields are selected
and all incoming water sources are checked for traces of herbicides
or pesticides. Insecticides or fertilizers of any kind are never
used in the cultivation of our ingredients. Most of the Ytsara essential
oils are steam distilled, even those from citrus that are normally
obtained by expression, to avoid any photo sensibility to the skin.
Production
Ytsara ingredients are delicately blended only after products have
been ordered to ensure that maximum potency and freshness are retained.
Products are stored in dark glass bottles or aluminum bottles (the
same used for perfumery) to prevent damage by the sun. Professional
containers are equipped with pumps or sprays to avoid contact with
air or sebum from hands that would change the essential oils’
fragile chemistry.
Preservatives
Preservatives are a necessary part of cosmetic ingredients. In our
creams, masks and wraps, Ytsara limits the amount of preservatives
to 0,1% and instead uses essential oils, known for their anti-bacterial
activity.
